SEO Report – Whitman-Walker (2026-04)
May 3, 2026 by apache
In April, the site generated 10,499 clicks from 534K impressions with a 1.97% CTR and an average position of 11.6. Clicks and impressions declined month over month, but CTR improved, showing stronger engagement from the visibility that remains.
Key metrics
- Impressions: 534,000 (↓ 12%)
- Clicks: 10,499 (↓ 7.43%)
- CTR: 1.97% (↑ 5.91%)
- Average position: 11.6 (↓ from 10.7)
- Google Business Profile interactions: 1,197 (↑ 0.84%)
- Google Business Profile website clicks: 308 (↑ 5.12%)
Impressions reflect how often the site appears in search, rankings determine where it shows, and CTR shows how often users click once they see it. Visibility dropped this month, but improved CTR shows the site is attracting more clicks per impression. Rankings slipped slightly overall, which is limiting total traffic despite stronger engagement.
Keyword patterns
Branded queries continue to dominate performance and hold the strongest positions. Terms like “whitman walker,” “whitman walker pharmacy,” and “whitman walker health” are consistently ranking #1 with high search volume (up to 6,600 monthly searches). These terms anchor traffic and reflect strong authority, but they are largely capped in terms of growth since they depend on existing brand awareness.
The second layer is where the real opportunity sits. A large group of non-branded, high-intent queries are ranking in positions 3–6, including “clinic dc” (390 volume, position 4), “primary care doctor dc” (590 volume, position 4), “testosterone blockers” (880 volume, position 5), and “urgent care” (very high volume, position 6). These are strong placements, but still below the highest CTR range, which is limiting click volume despite meaningful search demand.
There is also a clear local intent cluster forming around Washington, DC-based searches. Variations like “clinic in washington dc,” “clinics washington dc,” “walk in clinics washington dc,” and “psychotherapist washington dc” are consistently ranking on page one (positions 4–6). This shows strong relevance in local search, but these terms are not yet breaking into the top 3 where the majority of clicks occur.
Overall, rankings are strong across both branded and non-branded queries, but performance is concentrated just outside the highest-impact positions. Moving these page-one keywords from positions 4–6 into the top 3 is the clearest path to meaningful click growth without needing additional impressions.
What we recommend
- Push mid-ranking pages (positions 6–10) into the top 3 to increase CTR on high-impression queries
- Expand non-branded content around services and conditions to reduce reliance on branded traffic
- Optimize titles and meta descriptions on high-impression, low-CTR pages (~1–2% CTR range)
- Strengthen internal linking to distribute authority beyond the top-performing pages
How we’ll measure improvement
Progress will come from getting more clicks out of existing visibility and expanding traffic beyond branded searches.
- CTR continuing to rise above 2% on high-impression queries
- Keywords moving from positions 6–10 into the top 3
- Click growth without needing large increases in impressions
- More pages contributing meaningful traffic instead of reliance on a few
